Viorica Ioneanu, Engineer

I learned traditional European esthetics as a girl. I became an engineer, an entrepreneur and esthetician in Romania and gained my Canadian credentials from La Cité Collégiale. I am also a Reiki practitioner. I opened Viorica's in June 2006 and The European, Ottawa's first Boutique Spa, in September 2008. My goal is to create an oasis here in the city where my customers can experience the best in skin care, beauty, and wellness, in a personal day spa setting. I have been a practitioner of Registered Massage Therapy and Upledger CranioSacral Therapy (a light-touch modality often called massage from the inside out) for 5 years. I have been trained as a Reiki Master Teacher and also use Hot Stones Therapy so that I can offer everything from deep tissue work to a very light touch - depending on the needs and requests of clients. I meet clients where they are. I also provide peri-natal massage.

Aleksandra Ciepielak ~ Permanent Make-Up Artist

I am a European trained Permanent Make-up Artist who understands that beauty and appearances matter. Women and men who feel more comfortable about themselves, are simply happier, more self confident, empowered, and can achieve much more in their lives without the obstacle of self consciousness. Originally from Poland with a deep tradition of aesthetics, my vision developed fully through my studies at the Istituto Europeo di Design. I am constantly developing and researching new techniques to ensure that the best possible treatments are given to my clients. I started Beauty Matters to raise the bar on the art of permanent make up in Ottawa and am pleased offer my services through The European.
